Onda Consulting is run by Megan Elliott from the Gold Coast, QLD. This page explains what we collect when you visit onda-consulting.com, why we collect it, who helps us, and what you can ask us to do about it. We have written it in plain English on purpose.

01What we collect
We only ask for what we need to reply to you, run a session, or send you something you asked for.
- Contact and enquiry forms
- Your name, work email, organisation, phone number if you give it, what you are interested in, and your message.
- Booking a chat
- When you pick a time on the booking page, Calendly collects your name, email and anything in the booking questions, and we receive your appointment details.
- Field Notes newsletter
- Your email address, and your name if you give it.
- Communicate to Connect quiz
- Your name, email and the communication style you scored, so we can send the right results and follow-up.
- People Leadership Scorecard
- Your name, email, your answers and your strongest and focus areas.
- Leadership Café registration
- Your name, email, organisation and role, so we can confirm your seat and send the joining details.
- Program enrolment
- The details you send when you reserve a place. Payment is taken on our payment provider's secure page, so card details are never entered on or stored by this website.
- Website use
- Basic analytics such as pages viewed, the site that referred you, your country, and device and browser type, so we can see what people read and what needs fixing.
- Participant area
- Course assessments are completed inside a password protected area. See 'The participant area' below for what is and is not stored.
02How we use your details
We do not sell or rent your details, we do not share them with advertisers, and we do not use them for anything other than the reasons above without asking you first.
- To reply to enquiries, book conversations and follow up with you.
- To send emails you asked for, and the specific follow-up for the tool you used, such as quiz results, a scorecard summary or Leadership Café reminders.
- To run sessions properly: sending Zoom details, reminders, materials and anything you need to take part.
- To see which pages, tools and programs are used, so we can improve them and fix the parts that confuse people.
- To keep records needed for our own business and tax purposes.
03Who helps us
A small number of providers do specific jobs for us. Each one receives only what it needs, and each is bound by its own privacy terms.
- MailerLite
- Our email platform. It holds subscriber details and the labels (groups) that decide which sequence you receive.
- Calendly
- Handles the calendar on the booking page and the calendar invitations that come from it.
- Our hosting and database provider (Lovable Cloud)
- Stores form submissions, newsletter signups, scorecard results and Café registrations, and serves this website.
- Our payment provider (Stripe)
- Processes payment for paid programs when enrolment is open. Card details go to them directly, not to us.
- Serves the web fonts this site uses, so loading a page sends your IP address to Google's font service.
05The participant area
Course assessments sit behind a course password, are not linked from the public menu or sitemap, and are hidden from search engines.
Your assessment answers are saved in your own browser as you go, so you can close the tab and come back to the same place. They are not sent to Onda and are not held in our database. Clearing your browser data removes them, and choosing to retake an assessment starts you again.
The area is protected by a shared course password rather than personal accounts, so we cannot see who has opened it or what a person answered. We only know your details if you have given them to us separately, such as through a program enquiry or a free tool.
Print or save a copy of your report from the results page if you want to keep one, because it lives only on your device.
06How long we keep it
- Enquiry and booking details: while we are working with you, then in line with normal business record keeping.
- Mailing list details: until you unsubscribe, or until you ask us to delete them.
- Café registrations and scorecard results: kept so the right emails reach you and so we can see how the tools are used. Removed when you ask.
- Assessment answers: not held by us at all.
07Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe from any email in one click, using the link at the bottom of every message.
- Ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email connect@onda-consulting.com and we will action it, usually within 30 days.
- Ask us to stop using your details for a particular purpose, such as program updates, while keeping the rest.
- If you think your privacy has been mishandled, tell us at the same address and we will look into it. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au), or in New Zealand to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz).
08Security
- This website runs over HTTPS, so information travels encrypted.
- Access to the database and email platform is limited to Onda and the people we authorise.
- The participant area is password protected, and we keep the password off the website code.
- No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security. What we can promise is that we keep only what we need and never sell it.
09Children
This site is written for business owners, executives, leaders and professionals. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
10Changes to this policy
If we change this page we update the 'Last updated' date at the top. If a change meaningfully affects how we use your details, we will tell people on our list by email as well.
We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, and the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 for people in New Zealand.
